TÊT FESTIVAL 2017

You can celebrate the Lunar New Year at the OC Fair Grounds this weekend before we welcome the month of February. The Têt Festival is the largest in the world and attracts over 60,000 guests including hundreds vendors all weekend long. Enter the Phở eating contest, watch the Miss Vietnam of Southern California pageant, enter the Talent Show Competition or shop and eat your way through all of the booths. Têt Festival volunteers contribute thousands of hours planning and organizing in order to help bring the festival to life.

SOCAL WINTER BREW FEST

Held at the Phoenix Club in Anaheim, the Socal Winter Fest will feature tastings from over 60 brews from breweries across the country. Celebrating over 20 years of running Surf City, California’s classic oceanfront marathon is back again.  In Southern California style, the Beach Party will be in the finish area, right next to PCH where you can come on in and have a free cold one with the Sam Adams Crew! The Laguna Beach Music Festival is an annual multi-day celebration featuring outstanding classical and contemporary concerts in intimate spaces, community outreach programs and more special events. The series features acclaimed cellist Johannes Moser as festival artistic director, in collaboration with the Calder Quartet and other artists. It’s all held at the Laguna Playhouse, tickets for each performance are sold separately.

Held at the OC Fair Grounds at the Hangar Building, undefeated light heavyweight Mike Lee, (18-0, 10 KO’s), will return to fight for the first time in six years headlining the next installment of the acclaimed Fight Club OC. Lee is the first fighter from Notre Dame’s legendary amateur boxing program to win a title in the professional ranks. Along with winning the school’s boxing championship three years in a row, Lee is also a Chicago Golden Gloves Champion.

Sign-up at 10AM and walk at noon in the San Juan Capistrano Kid’s Pet Parade. Kids between the ages of 5 and 12 can show off their favorite animals and compete in a variety of contests for: Best team costume, Best household pet, Best exotic pet, best farm animal and best bird. Entry fee is $5 and the day also includes food, games and more fun. A special “Judges Choice” prize will be awarded and this winner will be given the opportunity to be in the Swallows Day Parade!
